Roots
The County Boutique was set up almost 40 years ago by Merty Culligan,
mother of current proprietors Gwen and Maeve. It quickly built up a
steady and loyal following throughout the mid-west and has always been
popular with visitors to the town, or from further afield.
Today
Gwen Culligan joined the County Boutique in 1990. Five years later, the
County Boutique doubled in size to over 1,400 sq. ft., trading over two floors.
In 2002, Maeve Flouch joined the business following a career in retail
management with the Kilkenny Shop in Dublin.
The County Boutique operates over two floors. Our ground floor specialises in
weekend and casual wear, carrying ranges such as Save the Queen, Odd Molly,
Shirt Passion,Turnover, Brax, Olsen and Bianca.
We also stock a comprehensive range of accessories, including handbags.
Our first floor houses suiting, coats and jackets with a dedicated special
event wear area that carries collections from designers such as Aideen Bodkin,
Nicola & Caroline Kilkenny, Michael H. and Linea Raffaelli .
